Mission Statement

Sacred Heart School recognizes the individual needs of all children and teaches that God and education lead the way for a successful life.

A Family of Faith

First and foremost, Sacred Heart School is a family of faith brought together by a common love of Jesus Christ. Every academic experience, sporting event, or afterschool activity is done under the “umbrella” of creating a caring, and valuable experience in the name of Christ. Jesus and all he taught is the reason for Sacred Heart School.

We educate our students to the highest possible standards in a spiritually enlightened atmosphere. Constantly we explore possibilities to enrich, enlighten, and develop each and every child to their fullest ability. Being fully aware of the, “next best thing” educationally and socially for a student is the ongoing focus for every adult working with the students.

We provide an environment that challenges students to academic excellence as they grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. We welcome children from all backgrounds and faith communities. Every member of our school family is valued and respected.

Mind, Body and Spirit

Sacred Heart School offers a balanced curriculum encompassing the intellectual, technological, physical, spiritual and artistic domains necessary for holistic development of the individual student. Art and music, and Spanish are offered once per week and are woven into the regular classroom curriculum. Physical education is offered twice per week. STREAM (Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, the Arts, and Math) units are a vital component in the curriculum. A weekly STREAM special will be part of the curriculum next year as a highlight section of ongoing STREAM units.

Daily prayer begins every day at Sacred Heart. Weekly Class Masses and All School Masses enrich our students spiritually while enhancing music, reading, public speaking, and sense of school community. Our faith-based atmosphere is integrated in everything we do from the playground, to the cafeteria, to the gym, to the media center, and to the classroom.
