I grew up in Hamilton, Ohio, met my husband, Herb in my senior year in college, and moved to South Bend, IN. We have now been married 42 years. Twenty-nine years ago we moved to Culver and finished raising our seven children. We garden, read avidly, try our hand at golf, and are rabid fans of the Notre Dame Irish, the White Sox, and the Bears. We also enjoy spending time with our 17 grandchildren.
After my children were in school, I began teaching at St. Anne’s in Monterey, IN. I taught first and second grade for 5 years, then moved up to fifth and sixth grade. Once the school closed, I started teaching sixth grade at Sacred Heart. I am now in my 15th year here in Warsaw. For the past 9 years, I have taught the Language Arts block for the 4th, 5th, and 6th graders, while remaining the homeroom teacher for my sixth graders. I love teaching and sharing ideas with the students. They keep me young and I learn something new from them each day.
