Andrea Komorowski

Welcome to Sacred Heart School!

I am blessed to be starting my third year as part of the Sacred Heart School Family.  Being a product of Sacred Heart School myself, I am glad to be working here helping students achieve their potential.

My position is that of Academic Resource Specialist and STREAM Coordinator.  As the Academic Resource Specialist, I focus on supporting the Reading, Language Arts, and Mathematics programs. I oversee Individual Service Plans and work in conjunction with the Warsaw Schools for action plans. This year I am also working with Lili Polk on enhancing support for our students who are English Language Learners.

As STREAM coordinator, I  search for STREAM-related opportunities for the teachers to include in the curriculum, support the teachers in STREAM activities,  find funding for the STREAM program, and coach Sacred Heart’s Robotics Team along with Lorenzo Lopez.

I have a B.S. from Ball State University in Elementary Education and Special Education and an M.S. from Walden University in Middle Level Education.  I taught for 20 years (five in Griffith, IN and fifteen at Wawasee Middle School in Syracuse, IN) before staying home and raising my daughter for five years.

My husband is John, and we have one daughter, Eleanor, who is attending third grade here at SHS.    I am an active member of Sacred Heart Parish and currently am part of the adult choir, vocation committee, and Sacred Heart Women of Grace.  In my free time, I enjoy gardening, reading, and spending time with my family.
