Home And School Association (HASA)
The Home and School Association is a supportive group of parents, teachers, and staff that work together to promote the best interests of the students. It acts as a liaison between the school and the families, fostering a positive and active relationship. The Association provides opportunities for volunteerism, fundraising, and educational programs, making it a vital component of the school's success. Join the Home and School Association to become a part of this dedicated community of parents and educators.
Uniforms
Students at Sacred Heart school are required to wear school uniforms. Requirements are detailed in the Parent/Student handbook. Most uniform items are available through Schoolbelles. Catalogs are available in the school office. In addition to the uniforms, students may wear a navy sweater vest, cardigan, or pullover sweater. Red or navy Sacred Heart sweatshirts may be worn anytime. Please mark all clothing with student’s name. School uniforms are mandatory on class mass or all-school mass days (no dress pass allowed on these days). Students without a uniform will be issued a uniform from the surplus clothes.
Physical Education uniforms are required for gym class. They can be purchased at Designs By Kim, located at 109 E. Market Street. Phone: 574-268-9904
Tattoos and make-up are prohibited, jewelry is highly discouraged. These items often cause distractions and can be offensive. Students may be asked to remove jewelry by a faculty, staff, or administration member.
Viking Watch
Sacred Heart School offers an Extended-day and After-School Care Program called "Viking Watch". It is Monday thru Friday 7:30am-5:30pm for Preschool students and 2:30-5:30pm for K-6th grade students. Preschool students can attend only on the days the have classes. Our program offers: Snack time, homework & study time, physical play time, activity/game time,and quiet/nap time for preschool students. It is staffed by Sacred Heart School Employees. The cost is: $20.00 per child/per year registration fee and $40.00 for 10 hours of care.
